Facey extends Imps winning run Lincoln made it five wins in a row with a 1-0 triumph over Hereford, which ended their run of four straight victories in npower League Two. Delroy Facey scored their vital goal in the 28th minute when he rifled the ball into the net from 15 yards. Play went from end to end in the opening 25 minutes with Ashley Grimes twice shooting past the Hereford goalmouth with only Adam Bartlett to beat. Hereford's central defender Janos Kovacs also headed a corner from James McQuilkin over the Lincoln crossbar. Striker Stuart Fleetwood was also denied by Lincoln goalkeeper Trevor Carson before the deadlock was broken in the 28th minute. Grimes released the ball to Facey who rifled it past Bartlett into the net. Two minutes later midfielder Gavin McCallum went close to increasing the Imps' lead but his shot was blocked by Ryan Green on the six-yard line. After the break Hereford midfielder McQuilkin had on target shots blocked by defenders but then at the other end Bartlett turned a shot from Grimes away for a corner. Midfielder McCallum should have snapped up a second for Lincoln with eight minutes remaining but he failed to beat Bartlett from 10 yards.
