Hereford 0-0 Wycombe: Match Report

05 April 2011 21:59
Brilliant Bull foils Bulls Goalkeeper Nikki Bull moved Wycombe a point nearer promotion with a string of fine saves in a goalless encounter at Hereford. But Hereford will also be pleased with an important point in their battle at the other end of the table. Wycombe dominated the early play and Stuart Beavon flashed a shot inches wide. Kevin Betsy also tried his luck with a long-range drive which just cleared the bar. Hereford came more into the game as the half progressed and created the better chances. Ryan Green came closest with a powerful shot from Joe Colbeck's pass which Bull turned around a post with a diving save. The second half continued to produce plenty in the way of attacking football with both sides going after the win. Bull produced the save of the game when he dived to palm away a curling effort from Hereford's top-scorer Stuart Fleetwood. But Wycombe came even closer to opening the scoring when Danny Foster's shot bounced through a crowd of players before coming back off a post. Bull, though, underlined his man-of-the-match rating with another fine diving save to deny the industrious Fleetwood.
