Colbeck stuns Shots

Joe Colbeck struck a late clincher as Hereford United hauled themselves off the foot of the table with a 2-1 win at Aldershot Town. Colbeck added to Stuart Fleetwood's early effort as the Bulls won for the first time in eight league games. The visitors started brightly and took the lead inside three minutes, Fleetwood racing on to Kenny Lunt's incisive pass to drill past Jamie Young. Hereford were content to try and play on the break, with the pace of Fleetwood keeping the Shots defence occupied. Things got little better after the break as a lack of guile coupled with a succession of niggling fouls halted any flow. Aldershot threw on all three subs early in the half, and Wesley Ngo Baheng wasted a good opening in the 70th minute when he scuffed his shot wide. But United sealed the points in the 83rd minute, Colbeck neatly finishing after being released by Mathieu Manset, leaving Luke Guttridge's injury-time strike a mere consolation.
