Bulls stretch unbeaten run

Hereford extended their unbeaten run to six games with a 2-1 victory over a disappointing Morecambe side at Edgar Street. Midfielder Joe Colbeck struck the Morecambe crossbar midway through the first half before giving the Bulls the lead in the 44th minute. On-loan striker Jake Jervis flicked the ball on to Colbeck, who drove it past goalkeeper Barry Roche from 12 yards. Straight after the break, Stuart Fleetwood should have increased Hereford's lead but his on-target drive was parried away by Roche. Then Morecambe rallied to level in the 53rd minute when Stewart Drummond latched on to a mix-up between Hereford goalkeeper Adam Bartlett and Nicky Featherstone to turn the ball into the empty net. However, Hereford regained the initiative in the 59th minute with a fine header from skipper Michael Townsend from close range clinched the victory.
