Wallace targets Jambos return
Hearts defender Lee Wallace is targeting a swift return to action following his serious knee injury.[LNB] It was feared Wallace would be out for six months after suffering a torn posterior cruciate ligament in Scotland's 2-1 defeat of Liechtenstein on Tuesday night.[LNB]However, it emerged yesterday the 23-year-old may not require surgery and could return in three months.[LNB]The new prognosis is still to be confirmed by a specialist, but Wallace is determined to work hard on his rehabilitation and is optimistic he can be back sooner than anticipated.[LNB]The left-back told Hearts News: "I spoke to our physio Rob Marshall yesterday afternoon at the academy and he told me the good news.[LNB]"When he told me my heart started pumping.[LNB]"Three months is still a long time to be out but it is such a big difference compared to the six months they were talking about.[LNB]"I'll be seeing the specialist soon when hopefully everything will be confirmed.[LNB]"It certainly makes you appreciate when you are fit.[LNB]"They have told me 10 to 12 weeks and I've never been out for that length of time before but I'm determined to work hard and come back sooner than that.[LNB]"I want to come back better, stronger and faster."
