Two-month absence for Elliot

Hearts striker Calum Elliot is unlikely to play again until the end of October after suffering knee cartilage damage.

The 22-year-old sustained the injury soon after coming on as a substitute in the weekend defeat at Rangers.

"The time-frame isn't set in stone but it's looking like eight weeks for Calum at the moment," Jambos boss Csaba Laszlo told the club's official website.

"He'll visit a specialist as soon as possible and he'll confirm the best course of treatment.

"This sort of injury normally requires surgery so we'll just have to wait and see and hopefully he can come back as quickly as possible."
