Thonson goes on loan
Sometimes you have to move sideways to go forward Defender Jason Thomson has joined top flight rivals Dunfermline on loan until 1 January. The full-back has struggled to nail down a regular first-term place at Tynecastle, so has agreed to move to the SPL newcomers. Thomson is expected to be part of the Pars squad that travels to Austria as part of their pre-season preparations. Assistant manager Billy Brown said: "We have a lot of right-backs at the club. Jason has had a few injuries and is at the stage of his career when he needs to be playing regularly. He is a good professional, a smashing lad, but he does need to be playing regularly and we cannot guarantee him that at Hearts just now."
