Jim Jefferies does not want to get any late calls today. Jim Jefferies is hoping he does not get any calls today as the transfer window closes. He is well aware that each and every one of his players have a price and could be out the Tynecastle door by the close of the transfer window tonight. The likes of David Templeton, Ismael Bouzid and Lee Wallace, who has been showing good form since returning from a cruciate knee ligament injury, have all been linked with moves following Hearts' recent good run. Jefferies is not aware of any imminent deals before the transfer deadline, but has a contingency in place if any of his squad are sold. Following the 1-0 win over St Johnstone, Jefferies said: "Every player at every club's available. If somebody comes in with an offer for one of our players and we think it's a good deal. If it happens we have one or two ideas. It would only be if someone went out. I hope it doesn't happen like it happened with Naismith at five to 12, because I won't have time to do anything." When Rudi Skacel returned to Hearts for a second spell in September, it was suggested by many the Czech Republic midfielder was thrust on Jefferies by majority shareholder Vladimir Romanov. But Skacel has been key in Hearts' challenge and he was the match-winner again on Saturday, scoring the winner after just three minutes. The result saw Hearts claim a 13th win from 16 league games and cut the gap to the Old Firm ahead of Wednesday's meeting with Rangers, who lost 1-0 at Tynecastle last weekend. Jefferies was pleased Hearts - now 15 points clear of fourth-placed Kilmarnock - bounced back from the 4-0 midweek loss to Celtic in front of Romanov. The Lithuanian businessman, who holds the purse strings and would have to sanction any transfer movement, will have no doubt been impressed by the strength in depth of the Hearts squad, with five changes made and Jefferies resting Adrian Mrowiec and Eggert Jonsson and missing Kevin Kyle and Templeton. The side against the Perth Saints was picked with the game at Ibrox in mind. Andrew Driver took his chance to impress in his first appearance since April and could play a part again on Wednesday. Jefferies said: "You've got to be at your strongest, especially physically, against them, so we gave them a rest off the back of three hard games. They were glad of having a little breather and it didn't harm us because we came through and won three points."
