Strach shows Gordon support

Hearts goalkeeper Craig Gordon won support from Celtic boss Gordon Strachan after his error handed the Bhoys a crucial 2-1 win over the Jambos at Celtic Park.

Scotland international Gordon turned a last-gasp Stephen McManus effort into his own net, but Strachan says he will be waiting a long time for a similar mistake.

He said: "It will probably be another ten years before Craig Gordon does anything like that again.

"He, Paul Hartley, Steven Pressley and Robbie Neilson have been absolutely fantastic since I have come back to Scotland.

Stand-in Hearts coach Eduard Malofeev added: "I am not blaming Craig Gordon for the own goal, even if it was a mistake.

"That's football and we are all humans."
