Still game on

There will be a buzz of activity at Tynecastle in the lead up to Saturday as damage caused by the weather will have to be repaired. Snow and ice has damaged the main stand at Tynecastle but Hearts are confident Saturday's game will go ahead against Aberdeen. It will be all hands to the pump with six inches of snow falling in Edinburgh yesterday after the freezing temperatures of Sunday. It is not just the stadium but the surrounding areas which will be of concern regarding safety issues for fans. Sections of piping and gutter have been pulled down by the weight of snow at Tynecastle. A club statement said: "We are working hard to resolve the issues and are confident they will not prevent the game against Aberdeen from going ahead. We are liaising with the relevant authorities and have kept Aberdeen informed of the situation. We remain hopeful of staging the match on Saturday"
