Romanov launches bid for bank

Hearts majority shareholder Vladimir Romanov has launched a bid to take full control of Lithuanian-based bank Ukio Bankas.[LNB] Romanov - currently a major shareholder in the bank - wants the remaining share capital.[LNB]The move, if accepted by the governing authorities in Lithuania, would give him 100% ownership.[LNB]Ukio Bankas is a corporate and banking partner of Hearts and a club spokesperson said: "Ukio has been one of Hearts' biggest supporters in recent years and we are grateful to the bank for the excellent partnership they have forged with Hearts."
