Romanov at war with ruling body

Seven is not a lucky number for Hearts Hearts owner Vladimir Romanov is far from pleased with the the SFA. He has often commented on the way the ruling body operates and this time has accused them of  trying to "camouflage" injustices against Hearts with the £100,000 fine they imposed for the club's poor poor disciplinary record. Hearts will be appealing against the record fine imposed last week. The SFA say the level of line is related to the club having received their seventh successive annual punishment after collecting six red cards in all competitions last season. Hearts players were also shown a total of 86 yellow cards in 38 league games, more than any other in the SPL. If the appeal fails, Hearts will be required to pay £60,000 immediately, with the remainder due in two instalments next season if their conduct does not show "noticeable improvement".  Romanov said: "If with this fine they want to camouflage all their unjustified decisions against Hearts throughout the season, then it is a normal practice for them - since it happens for the seventh year in a row. For me, everything became evident some time ago after that infamous match against Dundee (in 2008) when three Hearts players were red-carded and three penalties were awarded against us. I am even grateful to the referee of that game for his eye-opening actions. That case revealed the true faces of the people devoid of brain and conscience. Unfortunately, the match officials still remain their slaves while I had so much hoped that starting during this past season they were going to be set free."
