Progress being made by Kello

Marian Kello wants to make it hard for him to be left out of the intenational scene Marian Kello is determined to maintain his impressive form in the Hearts goal as he fights to break into Slovakia's international squad. He was on stand-by for the friendly against Bosnia last week and is keen to maintain his form to take the next step up. The goalkeeper kept his fourth consecutive clean sheet as Hearts beat Hamilton 2-0, thanks to goals from Rudi Skacel and David Templeton. Kello made an excellent save from a Simon Mensing penalty late in the game - on a day when Hearts had paid pre-match tribute to late goalkeeper Jim Cruickshank. Kello's sixth clean sheet in seven league games, a record of wins which has seen his side move to third in the table, also included a crucial second-half save from Accies forward Damien Casalinuovo. Kello said: "The penalty was very important because if they had scored then to make it 2-1, it would have been a very difficult last 10 minutes and would have been very tough, so I'm very glad I saved it and we got comfortably through the last 10 minutes. I'm very happy that we've kept another clean sheet and hopefully we can go on with that. Not just the penalty but the whole game obviously meant a lot because of Jim and it was very emotional as I felt a bit of a connection with him. Because of the situation, I wanted to keep a clean sheet for Jim and I'm really pleased to have done that. I was really happy that I got a standby call for Slovakia; now we have a break from internationals and the next game we play is in February, so I must play well through this time."
