Pressley writing his one book

There is no correct way to be a manager and Jim does not expect a call from Steven Presley any day soon. Jim Jefferies is looking forward to heading back to Falkirk and locking horns with  Steven Pressley tomorrow in the Co-operative Insurance Cup third-round tie. Jefferies signed Pressley on a free transfer in 1998 when he was first in charge of Hearts , with the ex-Scotland defender going on to make more than 300 appearances for the club. While knowing Pressley well the pair will be in opposing dugouts at Falkirk Stadium with Jefferies watching from the sidelines as Pressley is does his job in his own unique way. Jefferies said: "He did terrifically well for us. I've bumped into him a couple of times. I don't think he'll phone too many people - he's got his own way of doing things. The one thing is he's single-minded and you'll never change him. There is no manual to how to do this job - you have to do it by your own thoughts, your own style." Jefferies has fond memories of Falkirk, a team he managed for five years. He went on: "I've got plenty of great memories of Falkirk and they've always given me a great reception when I've gone back there". Hearts beat Elgin 4-0 in the second round at Tynecastle while fielding some players on the fringes of the first team. But Jefferies will treat Falkirk, who were relegated from the SPL in May, like a top-flight side and will resist wholesale changes. Jefferies added: "We were very professional in the last round and we have to do the same when we go to Falkirk. The team will not be far away (from the full first team)." Hearts won 3-1 at Inverness last Saturday, but Ian Black is a doubt for the clash with a bruised foot picked up at the game. Rudi Skacel could well make his second debut, but Andrew Driver is not yet ready and Lee Wallace (knee) and Marius Zaliukas (knee and contract dispute) remain out.
