Palazuelos cools exit talk

Hearts midfielder Ruben Palazuelos has rubbished reports suggesting he is keen to leave Tynecastle.

The 25-year-old Spaniard, who still has almost three years left on his current Jambos contract, has failed to start a game for Csaba Laszlo's side so far this term, but insists he is willing to stay and fight for his place.

"I read what the papers said about me but it's not true," he told the club's official website.

"I was speaking after the game against Dundee United and all I said was it was too early to talk about my future like this.

"We're only a few games into the season and all I want to do is work hard in training every day and try to force my way into the manager's plans.

"Ultimately it's his decision who he puts out on a Saturday afternoon and I respect that.

"I want to speak to him to explain things and tell him that I'm happy here with my family and happy to fight for my place."
