No divine right to win games

Things rarely go smoothly with Hearts Jim Jefferies believes the 3-0 loss at home to Kilmarnock could be a blessing in disguise for his side. Hearts missed the opportunity to climb to third in the league as Kilmarnock moved off the bottom thanks to the three points gained by the goals of Frazer Wright, Conor Sammon and Alexei Eremenko. There was a mood of expectation at Tynecastle ahead of the game, with Hearts looking for a third straight win a week after beating St Mirren 3-0. But the home fans were brought back down to earth by a commanding display from Killie.Jefferies said: "Sometimes things happen to make you realise everything isn't always straightforward. A lot of people turned up because Kilmarnock were bottom of the league and they wondered how many we were going to win by. We were worried that wasn't going to be the case and Kilmarnock proved me right. We can have no complaints, they were quicker and sharper and their movement was better. It's maybe a timely reminder - we had a chance to go third in the league - that in this league you can't take anybody for granted. You've got to go and earn the right to win - Kilmarnock came here and did that and deserved to win the game." Jefferies anticipates his team will need no additional motivation in training this week ahead of Sunday's capital clash. And Polish midfielder Adrian Mrowiec insists it is a game they must win in order to reclaim some momentum following Sunday's loss. He said: "We played a very bad game. I don't know what happened. Two mistakes and we lose 3-0. We have to forget and look forward to the next game. The derby is a very important game for us - we'll do everything to win the game."
