Hearts defender Lee Wallace has handed the struggling club a boost by returning to training after spending the last month on the sidelines.
The 21-year-old defender suffered a hamstring strain in last month's defeat at Inverness but could return to first-team action as early as this weekend's game against Kilmarnock.
Assistant boss Stephen Frail told the Edinburgh Evening News: "It's taken a few weeks but we're pleased to see Lee working his way back to full-fitness.
"We've got good options in the left-back slot in terms of Lee and Jose (Goncalves) and obviously we want both of them fit and competing for the position."
However, Mauricio Pinilla looks set to miss Saturday's game after suffering a knock in the weekend defeat to Dundee United.
Frail added: "We're going to have to monitor him very closely over the next day or two.
"He won't train today and, given the knock that he took, he's got to be a doubt for the game against Kilmarnock this weekend."
