Hearts are close to agreeing an initial loan deal for Charlton Athletic striker Izale McLeod, according to the player's agent.
The 25-year-old is set to train with the Jambos in a bid to win a move away from The Valley, where he has struggled to make an impact.
Agent Tony Finnigan said: "In the last transfer window I spoke to (Hearts director) Sergi Fedotovas, but they could not agree a price.
"That was just left, but they have chased it up again and they are talking about a loan with a possible review. I am just waiting for him to give me a call to decide.
"It's a good club and I told him to go and have a look before you commit yourself, as before he would have just gone up there without thinking."
