MacDonald assured of future

Hearts manager Csaba Laszlo has reassured goalkeeper Jamie MacDonald that he remains part of his first-team plans.

The Scotland Under-21 international is unsettled at Tynecastle after losing his starting place under Laszlo, but has been told he still has a future with the Edinburgh club.

"I heard about all the stories about Jamie, but he hasn't spoken to me about anything," Laszlo told the club's official website.

"If he comes to me or the sport director then we can discuss the situation, but for me at the moment this is not a question.

"Janos Balogh is injured at the moment, so I am very happy to have Jamie as the second goalkeeper."
