Livi star Russell sinks Jambos
Iain Russell scored the only goal of the game as Livingston beat Scottish Premier League side Hearts 1-0 in Saturday's pre-season friendly.[LNB] Though the Jambos largely had the better of the first half, with Arvydas Novikovas catching the eye, the Lions took the lead on 43 minutes when Russell netted after David Obua had been caught in possession.[LNB]Hearts had their chances to level matters after the break but despite Jim Jefferies throwing on David Templeton, John Sutton and Stephen Elliott in an attempt to salvage the match, they couldn't find a way through and Mark McNulty's deflected shot struck the post late on for the home side.
