Late move for Tapping

Hearts are looking to the future and have signed 19 year old Calum Tapping There may be some silver lining to the drubbing handed out by Spurs. The meeting of the two teams allowed discussions to take place regarding a move for Callum Tapping. The London born midfielder was brought up in Scotland and had been on the books at Hamilton and Celtic. He has agreed a two year deal to move to Tynecastle from the London club where he has been since June 2009. Tapping has played 27 times for Spurs in last season's FA Academy Premier League and has been brought in to add to the options available to Darren Murray's U19 squad. They have made a good start to their season with three straight wins. Murray said: "Callum is a central midfielder with good ability. He can see a pass, gets forward and can score goals. He's diligent, conscientious as well and someone we think can develop for the future with us."
