New Hearts manager Laszlo Csaba has revealed he intends to reduce the size of the squad he has inherited at Tynecastle.
The former coach of the Uganda national side was handed the reins last week after a lengthy search for a new manager and Csaba has admitted that one of his priorities is to offload some players.
"We have a very big squad and must look to reduce the numbers and give chances to the young players," he said.
Meanwhile, Laszlo has also admitted the need to improve confidence at Tynecastle following the disappointing last campaign.
"My work is not only on the field - we must build team spirit," he continued.
"This is the big problem at the moment, I see the players are completely down.
"We have a ten-day training camp in Germany and we will take all the players who can help the team.
"We must come back with a very good confidence and spirit."
