Kilmarnock knock back Bryson bid

There appears little chance of Craig Bryson joining Hearts Jim Jefferies plans to link up Kevin Kyle with Craig Bryson appear to be fading after Kilmarnock rejected their latest offer. Tynecastle boss Jim Jefferies is keen work with the 23-year-old midfielder he brought to Rugby Park in 2007. Jefferies has confirmed the club put forward an offer and that they are now likely to move on after missing out on his services. JJ insists the club will not be making an improved offer and that the ball is now in Kilmarnock's court.  Jefferies said: "We made an offer for him and Sergey (Fedotovas, Hearts director) told me that was turned down. We'll see if anything else comes from their end but, from our end, we've made an offer and if it's not acceptable we have to move on. We made what we felt was the right offer. There are one or two clubs who would like to have him but can't afford him either. I believe we're the only club to have made an offer near what Kilmarnock want, but there's too big a gap between what they value him at and what we are prepared to pay for him, so you just have to get on with it. It's up to Kilmarnock if they want to resurrect it. They know of our interest. If not, we'll move on. We certainly won't be going back with an increased offer so it looks like that's the end of it."
