Jonsson plans another upset

Defender Eggert Jonsson is confident Hearts can upset Clydesdale Bank Premier League title-chasing Rangers on Saturday.

Celtic lost at Inverness on Wednesday night to relinquish the title initiative to Rangers and Hearts could have a say in the race to lift the SPL trophy, with successive matches against either side of the Old Firm.

"We beat them (Rangers and Celtic) already this season, so they know what we're capable of doing. Although I don't think we've been at our best recently we know what they're going to do - they need the win," Jonsson said. "We're going to make it hard for them and try to win the game."

He added: "We've been struggling for the last month. We've always been saying 'if we win this game it (the race for third place) should be over' but we've been throwing it away.

"We've not been at our best and we want to make it right."

While Hearts' performances could impact on the destination of the SPL trophy, Jonsson insists the priority is wrapping up third place.

"All we're thinking about is ourselves," he added. "We play them both and we want to win every game.

"We'll do our best and hopefully we can get some points."
