Jefferies warns against complacency

Hearts manager Jim Jefferies has encouraged his players to keep enjoying their football - as long as they do not get complacent following their impressive run.

Hearts have suffered just one defeat in 10 games ahead of their Clydesdale Bank Premier League contest at St Mirren Park.

Jefferies said: "If you can't enjoy it now, with the way the team's playing and the spirit about the club, you'll never enjoy it."

He added: "We're making sure we win every match we can. We used to go on great runs. I remember with Berwick Rangers we went 22 games - that would be nice.

"I can't see that happening, but you never know in football."

Hearts have been playing with an attacking flair with Rudi Skacel and David Templeton scoring and creating goals from midfield and Kevin Kyle and Stephen Elliott providing a threat up front.

The former Falkirk and Kilmarnock manager said: "We're also not going to become complacent. Complacency is one thing that can kick you in the teeth. They've got to make sure they concentrate on what they're doing.

"You've got to enjoy it when you can. We're not going to win every game, we know that, but what we've done is give ourselves a cushion and there's nothing to say that in the next few matches we can't keep it going."
