Jefferies upbeat on Kyle fitness

Hearts manager Jim Jefferies is hopeful of having Kevin Kyle in his squad when they play Rangers at Ibrox on Wednesday night. The striker has missed four matches with a groin problem but is making progress with treatment. "Kevin is continuing to improve and we'll have another look at him this week," Jefferies told Hearts News. "If he doesn't make Wednesday, then I'd say there's every chance he'll be ready for our next league game against Hamilton." Meanwhile, Andrew Driver came through his first match of the season unscathed after returning from a thigh problem as a second-half substitute in Saturday's 1-0 Clydesdale Bank Premier League win over St Johnstone. Jefferies said: "Andrew came through the weekend without any problems, which is obviously good news as he has been out for so long. We'll see what happens on Wednesday and how we shape up for Ibrox now."
