Jefferies targets third

Hearts manager Jim Jefferies believes his players are good enough to secure the coveted third spot before the Clydesdale Bank Premier League split in April. Kyle Lafferty grabbed the only goal as Rangers avenged last month's defeat with a win over the Edinburgh side at Ibrox. Jefferies has now seen his side lose to Celtic and Rangers in the last seven days but said: "We've got the Old Firm out of the way and we can now look to the games between now and the split. "There is nothing wrong with the spirit and determination. They gave everything and, if they keep doing that, I'm sure they will get enough points to clinch third place maybe even before the split. "That should be the target now and I've got every confidence we can do that."
