Jefferies happy to take a point
Hearts manager Jim Jefferies refused to be too downbeat despite seeing his side miss out on going second in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League after being held to a goalless draw against Aberdeen.
A win would have seen the Jambos leapfrog Rangers, who face St Johnstone on Sunday, but instead the result means they are a point behind the Ibrox side who have three games in hand.
Jefferies, whose side have won nine of their 13 league games away from home this term, said: "When I shook hands with Craig Brown at the end we said it was a fair result.
"They were the better side in the first half but, after a few choice words at half-time, we were better in the second half.
"Our record is fantastic away from home and you can't win every game.
"There was always going to be somewhere that we would get a draw and we would probably accepted that given the amount of players we had out. At the end of the day we have come away with a point and we are happy with that as it was a fair result."
