Jefferies desperate to rest injured trio

Hearts manager Jim Jefferies has urged his team to wrap up third place in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League so he can rest his injured players. Suso Santana (knee) and Rudi Skacel (Achilles) have both been playing through injury in recent weeks while Andrew Driver has endured a season blighted by knee and thigh problems. Hearts go into the visit of Scottish Cup finalists Motherwell on Saturday nine points ahead of fourth-placed Dundee United with five matches left. Jefferies told Hearts TV: "We have two or three players like Skacel, Suso, Andrew Driver, who are struggling to play full games with the injuries they have. The concern is they are playing with injuries. "The quicker we get third place tied up, we can then maybe look to get them a longer rest so they are okay for the following season."
