Jefferies acknowledges title talk

Hearts boss Jim Jefferies struggled to keep a lid on talk of a title challenge at Tynecastle following the 1-0 win over Rangers. Ryan Stevenson grabbed the only goal of the game for the Jambos as they moved to within two points of the Scottish champions. "We have done our best to play it down but everyone has been saying we can put in a challenge," said Jeffries. "Walter said that was the best Rangers had played here for a long time and I agree with him. "It was spirit and determination that got us through it. It's a good result for us but it's also a good result for the league. Looking ahead to his side's trip to Celtic on Wednesday, Jefferies added: "With our record away from home, we've got nothing to fear going there. "If we win it, we will be more and more in the hunt. Who would bet against us with the form we have been in away from home?"
