Jambos seal Obua deal

Hearts have snapped up the Uganda international David Obua after the 24-year-old was granted a work permit.

The midfielder is not expected to play in this weekend's game against Motherwell but it is hoped he will be able to train with the rest of the first-team squad next week.

The club's managing director, Campbell Ogilvie, confirmed: "We're delighted to have secured this decision.

"Uganda are outside the required world ranking level but it does provide a useful indication of what a good player David is that the work permit review panel granted the permit.

"David is sure to be a valuable addition to Hearts both on and off the field. Even although he is still a young player he has achieved great success and he is likely to impress our supporters.

"We are grateful to the panel for their judgement on this matter."
