Hearts waiting on Wallace scans

Published: 08 Sep 2010 - 12:47:00

Hearts left-back Lee Wallace will undergo scans today on the injury he suffered in Scotland's 2-1 Euro 2012 qualifying win over Liechtenstein. Wallace was taken off on a stretcher amid fears of a knee ligament injury after 54 minutes at Hampden Park, with Hearts waiting to discover the full extent of the problem ahead of Saturday's match away to Celtic. Hearts boss Jim Jefferies told the club's official website: "We will have to wait and see what the scans say. "Lee has said it doesn't feel as bad as it did and we're hoping it's not as serious as first feared. "But we have to get him scanned and we'll know more later today hopefully." Wallace's replacement Barry Robson provided the crosses which saw Kenny Miller and Stephen McManus secure Scotland's come-from-behind success.
