Hearts wait on Wallace scans

Hearts left-back Lee Wallace will undergo scans Wednesday on the injury he suffered in Scotland's last-gasp 2-1 Euro 2012 qualifying win over Liechtenstein on Tuesday night.

Wallace was taken off on a stretcher amid fears of a knee ligament injury after 54 minutes at Hampden Park, with Hearts waiting to discover the full extent of the problem ahead of Saturday's match away to Celtic.

Hearts boss Jim Jefferies told the club's official website, www.heartsfc.co.uk: "We will have to wait and see what the scans say."

He added: "Lee has said it doesn't feel as bad as it did and we're hoping it's not as serious as first feared.

"But we have to get him scanned and we'll know more later on Thursday hopefully."

Wallace's replacement Barry Robson provided the crosses which saw Kenny Miller and Stephen McManus secure Scotland's come-from-behind success.
