Hearts are in turmoil once again after it was confirmed that manager Jim Jefferies had been removed from his post.[LNB] A Tynecastle spokesman said: "Jim Jefferies has been removed as manager, and has been offered a director of football role which he is currently considering."[LNB]It is believed that the positions of assistant Billy Brown and first-team coach Gary Locke are under review.[LNB]The Lithuania defender was made unavailable to Jefferies for the SPL clash at Rangers on the morning of the game with Romanov understood to have been concerned his compatriot may have been sent off by referee Iain Brines.[LNB]At the time, Jefferies expressed his frustration at the decision, but insisted he had not considered quitting.[LNB]Jefferies said: "There's no way I'm resigning. I'll come in here and I'll learn from that experience and I'll know what to do now.[LNB]"There were rumours going around on Saturday. I was getting texts from my son that I'd resigned.[LNB]"Yes, I was disappointed the way we were a bit short at the back, but the rumours that were flying around weren't true."[LNB]Although Jefferies resisted the temptation to jump then, it appears on Monday night that he, along with long-time number two Brown, has been pushed.
