Hearts look for more additions

Assistant boss Billy Brown has assured Hearts fans the club is working all hours to add further quality signings to the capture of Kevin Kyle.[LNB] The striker - who played under Jambos boss Jim Jefferies at Kilmarnock - joined the Edinburgh side on a free transfer last Thursday.[LNB]Jefferies is keen to add more new faces over the summer but Brown says they will only make a move for targets who they are confident are right for Hearts.[LNB]He told Hearts News: "We are trying but getting good players - and the right types of players in - isn't easy.[LNB]"We know what our aims are - whether we can get them or not we don't know.[LNB]"But we are making every endeavour to bring in one or two more faces if it is at all possible."[LNB]Kyle was brought to Kilmarnock by Jefferies in January 2009 after a spell south of the border and impressed enough to earn a recall to the Scotland squad after a five-year absence.[LNB]And Brown sees no reason why the big striker cannot force his way into current national team boss Craig Levein's plans if he fulfils his potential at Tynecastle.[LNB]He said: "We have signed a player with great experience, who has played at the highest level in England and is a Scottish international.[LNB]"If he can get back to the form he showed at that time (at Kilmarnock) I think Craig will be looking at him.[LNB]"Whether he is the type Craig wants in the international set-up is another matter.[LNB]"His recall the last time was warranted and if he can get back to that level, he must come into the Scotland manager's thinking.[LNB]"He is a big lad and everyone who plays against him is wary.[LNB]"He is a threat and the more threats we can have in the team, the better. He is a handful and is physical.[LNB]"If we can get him fit and keep him fit, I'm sure he will pay dividends for us."[LNB]Asked what kind of player Jambos fans can expect to see, Brown added: "Don't expect Lionel Messi! But Kevin knows the game and knows where to go in the 18-yard box.[LNB]"He has learned the game well, he can play to feet, has a good idea of the game and, at Tynecastle where we like to get the ball into the box a lot and put teams under pressure, he will prove a handful.[LNB]"It says a lot for Hearts that he wanted to come here as I know he turned down more money. The club was a big attraction for him and he has a great will to do well."[LNB]
