Hearts hand trial to Finland star
Jim Jefferies has handed Finland midfielder Kari Arkivuo a trial as he continues his attempts to reinforce his squad for the new season.[LNB] Arkivuo, who is out of contract following his release by Dutch Second Division club Go Ahead Eagles, has earned a reputation as an inventive attacking player during spells in Holland, Norway and his homeland.[LNB]The 27-year-old, who has won eight caps, will be assessed at Hearts' Riccarton training centre over the next few days and may also travel to England with the squad for next week's friendlies against Gillingham and Millwall.[LNB]"He's one that's been recommended to us so we're having a look at him over the next couple of days and then we can take it from there," Jefferies told Edinburgh Evening News.[LNB]
