Hartley escapes Hearts ban

Hearts midfielder Paul Hartley has escaped a ban following a disciplinary hearing at Tynecastle.

The Scotland international attended a 40-minute meeting with club officials on Thursday where he was accompanied by Scottish PFA secretary Fraser Wishart.

Hartley was summoned to the meeting after flanking former captain Steven Pressley when he read a statement claiming there was "significant unrest" in the dressing room over the way owner Vladimir Romanov was running the club back in October.

Pressley has since left the club by mutual consent, but Hartley isn't expected to follow suit.

"He is still a Hearts player, he is fit and he is free of suspension and available for selection on Saturday," Wishart told Forth One.

"The meeting was called by the club and as such the details of it must remain confidential."
