Gordon needs answers

Craig Gordon's agent is determined to get to the bottom of Hearts' decision to leave his client out of the team.

The 24-year-old goalkeeper has not played for the Jambos since the home defeat to Celtic on January 14 and was once again left out of the squad for the win against Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

Coach Valdas Ivanauskas insists Gordon still has a future at Tynecastle, but the player's agent, Andy Evans, said: "All I can do now is try and work on the way ahead for Craig. We must seek clarification for why he's not playing.

"There have been too many reasons but we need to know why. A claim he's been affected by transfer rumours is nonsense.

"If it was because of that, why isn't he back in the side now the transfer window is closed?

"If he has no future at the club, then we will start working towards that as well. We can't demand him to be in the side though, we can only demand the reason for it."
