Hearts defender Jose Goncalves faces a lengthy spell out of the first team according to caretaker manager Stephen Frail.
The 22-year-old Portuguese has not featured for around a month, having lost his place to Lee Wallace due to him storming out of Tynecastle after being subbed during the 4-0 defeat by Rangers.
Frail told the club's official website: "Jose will have to wait for his chance now. Lee has the jersey and has done well enough in the last three games.
"Things can change quickly in football, but I've said this season already that, if players produce the goods on the park, then they'll keep their place in the team.
"Lee had to wait for his opportunity when Jose was in the side and now Jose has to do the same."
