Glen relishing Kyle link-up

Gary Glen is aiming to establish himself in the Hearts first-team this season despite Jim Jefferies' array of attacking options.[LNB] Kevin Kyle and Stephen Elliott arrived from Kilmarnock and Preston respectively as forward reinforcements for Hearts' Clydesdale Bank Premier League campaign.[LNB]David Obua and Calum Elliot are also in contention to play up front, while Glen has been in the treatment room with a hamstring problem.[LNB]The 20-year-old, who made his Hearts debut in March 2007, is hoping to return to full fitness this week and be in contention for Saturday's match at Inverness.[LNB]And with Kyle seemingly first-choice up front, Glen would relish playing alongside the Scotland international.[LNB]Glen, who is still to play this season due to the injury, said: "He's good at holding the ball, wins every header. It would be good in that sense and we've just got to find space.[LNB]"He's got a good touch and being a tall striker you look for headers, but he's got good feet as well."[LNB]Glen, though, is aware he faces competition for a place.[LNB]"It's going to be hard but I'm looking forward to it," added Glen.[LNB]"I think what the gaffer's plan is to play Kevin and get boys around and about him to supply the ball."[LNB]Glen has made a maximum of five successive appearances in the first team since making his debut under Stephen Frail, but now hopes he can get a run.[LNB]"I've been in and around the first-team for a couple of seasons now," added Glen, who was launching the club's new travel partnership with Charlie Irons Coaches.[LNB]"I've not had the break that I would've liked. I just want to stay injury free and hopefully that's the end of them and I can kick on to the end of the season."[LNB]
