Glen - Obua for JJ

With games running out JJ wants to put his trust in Gary and David JJ plans to use Gary Glen and David Obua as the main strike force as the season comes to an end. Tonight’s game between St Johnstone and Dundee United will have an impact on whether the pair will be challenging defenders in the top or bottom six. JJ believes the combined talents could help Hearts into Europe. The pair played together against Hibs and Rangers and their threat offered encouragement to a team criticised for lacking any real goal threat. Obua's aerial presence and Glen's predatory instincts are ideal to play off each other and JJ plans to keep faith with both players for the foreseeable future. However,  he  admits it will be most probably next season before the partnership are the finished article.  JJ said: "I was very pleased with Gary Glen in the first half last week. He put a lot of effort into the game and tired a bit in the second half but I am really pleased with his partnership with David Obua. They are just new together and it's a new position for David but I think it's only going to get better and better. It might blossom next season after we have had a chance to work with them during the pre-season. It's not going to happen overnight, you have got to keep working on things in training but it is very encouraging."
