The decision on new players is not just down to Jim Jefferies Jim Jefferies and director Sergejus Fedotovas have been discussing how to prepare for next season and have already identified summer targets to strengthen the squad.  Fedotovas hopes to be able to add quality to the squad which has secured third place in the SPL and European football for next season. Fedotovas, who is the right hand man of majority shareholder Vladimir Romanov at the club on a day-top-day basis, said: "We're definitely looking to strengthen the squad in a number of key areas. It is good that we have identified our targets already. The negotiations are under way. In attack, midfield and defence we are looking for fresh faces in our squad next season. We will need to see how lucky we are in terms of getting these players to Tynecastle but I'm very confident that we will have a few new faces in the new season."  Fedotovas would have been happier if third had been secured a little earlier but he is content with how the season went overall. He went on: "I'm happy with this season, as much as I can be. This season was much better than a number of previous seasons. We probably believed a bit early in our success and maybe there were some games when the team could have done a bit more and we would have been there earlier than today."
