Elliot eager to leave Hearts

Hearts striker Calum Elliot has revealed he intends to quit the club after growing tired of the long-running managerial saga at Tynecastle.

Elliot has been linked with several of Hearts' SPL rivals and, with the Edinburgh club yet to appoint a new manager, the Scotland Under-21 international is keen to move on.

Hearts have so far failed to persuade Motherwell boss Mark McGhee or Artmedia Bratislava coach Vladimir Weiss to take the managerial vacancy.

Caretaker-manager Stephen Frail was in charge for the second half of the last campaign but was told his services were no longer required in May.

"I am waiting to see what is happening regarding the managerial situation at Hearts," Elliot told the Edinburgh Evening News.

"The quicker it gets done, the better it is for me because I am looking to get away.

"I will have to wait until the manager is in place before anything can happen."
