Driver pledges Scotland future
05 Feb 2010 - 12:00:01
Hearts winger Andrew Driver has pledged his international allegiance to Scotland.
Driver, 22, played in last summer's European Under-21 Championship for England after being born in Oldham.
However, Scotland boss Craig Levein has now revealed that the winger has decided to play international football for the nation in which he was raised.
"Andy Driver gave me the nod yesterday that he is dead keen," revealed Levein.
"I said 'do you want to go away and think about it?' He said 'no, my mind is made up, I want to play for Scotland'.
"We need to find out he meets the criteria exactly, that it's five years schooling and not four years, 11 months and 26 days."
