Clarets give up on Driver

Burnley boss Brian Laws has aimed fire at Hearts after failing to agree a deal for Jambos winger Andrew Driver.

Laws had hoped to tempt the 22-year-old to head to England, but the SPL club were in no mood to part with one of their star players.

A bitter Laws commented: "It's dead, they're being stubborn - there are too many things I feel uncomfortable with.

"A lot of clubs think, because we are fairly comfortable with money, they just pluck a number out of the sky and that's what we will pay.

"We are experienced people in football and we know the values of players and what we are comfortable with.

"We are not going to throw all the money we have away and the Driver situation was getting out of hand."
