urnley boss Brian Laws has ended his interest in Andrew Driver after accusing Hearts of being stubborn over the asking price for the winger.[LNB] The Clarets have had two bids for the 22-year-old rejected by the Tynecastle club, who are thought to want £3.5million up front.[LNB]Laws told BBC Radio Lancashire: "It's dead, they're being stubborn - it's too many things I feel uncomfortable with."[LNB]Burnley have also been linked Preston's Ross Wallace and Cardiff's Peter Whittingham.[LNB]Laws refused to confirm or deny his targets but hopes to have a left-sided player in by the end of the week.[LNB]"It's not just Driver," he said. "There are other players and we're waiting for those to fall into place.[LNB]"We're hoping to make rapid progress over the next 48 hours and we'll be happy with either one that we get.[LNB]"A lot of clubs think, because we are fairly comfortable with money, they just pluck a number out of the sky and that's what we will pay.[LNB]"We are experienced people in football and we know the values of players and what we are comfortable with.[LNB]"We are not going to throw all the money we have away and the Driver situation was getting out of hand."[LNB]Burnley had this week offered £2.5million, potentially rising to £4million, for the former England Under-21 international.[LNB]However, Hearts rejected that, despite the Clarets having increased their previous £1.5million bid.[LNB]Driver this week returned to Scotland after undergoing an operation designed to end the tendinitis that restricted his appearances last season.
