Bouzid by chance to stay
The world of contracts is never clear until everything is signed sealed and delivered. The season drawing to a close brings to mind the contracts that will be ending at the same time. Hearts are still striving to secure third place in the final SPL table but will be looking ahead to next season and improving on whatever they achieve in this one. One player who is looking at his own future is Ismael Bouzid whose agent, Thomas Boehm, is flying in to speak to the club about what their future holds for his client. Boehm wants to speak to the Algerian internationalist to see just what he wants to do ahead of discussions with the club. Bouzid is said to be keen to stay in Edinburgh if a new deal can be agreed. Boehm has talks arranged for next week to see how the land lies regarding his client and any new contract on offer. Of course, the financial terms will be key to any decision on both sides of the equation. The club cannot write a blank cheque but Boehm believes chances of him staying are realistic. He said: "I've spoken to Hearts and next week I will be in Scotland. For sure, Ismael would like to stay there. I can't say anything more at the moment because I must talk to Sergey (Fedotovas) first and then come to Edinburgh next week." Bouzid signed for Hearts in summer 2009 from the Turkish club Ankaragucu by former manager Csaba Laszlo. He played regularly under Jim Jefferies prior to Andy Webster's arrival from Rangers in January.
