Bouzid hospitalised after friendly

Hearts defender Ismael Bouzid is in a London hospital with a suspected fractured skull sustained during a 3-2 win at Millwall on Saturday.

The Algeria international was stretchered from the field and taken straight to hospital in a neck brace after a collision in the 30th minute of the match, following a lengthy period of treatment.

"The early suggestions are that Ismael has a fracture," manager Jim Jefferies told the club's official website.

"We might be jumping the gun but he will obviously be staying there before we see what the situation is."

Jefferies was delighted by his side's performance after the Tynecastle side came from behind to secure victory, thanks to two delightful free-kicks from Craig Thomson.

He said: "I thought they were outstanding.

"It is always nice to win the games but the performance was excellent.

"We were by far the better team in the opening 35 minutes until the injury. That took the wind out of our sails.

"The equaliser was a poor goal from our point of view - a free header in the six-yard box.

"I had to tell Craig Thomson to take the one at the end. It was as better distance than the first one. We were screaming at him to have another go. It was two fantastic free-kicks from him."
