Bookings and sendings off penalise Hearts

Yellow and red cards impact on JJ's abilities to get the side he wants on the pitch. Hearts manager Jim Jefferies watched on Sunday as three of his players picked up suspensions against Rangers at Ibrox. However, none of the three will miss the Edinburgh derby at the beginning of next month. Eggert Jonsson will have to sit out Saturday's visit of Motherwell after being sent off by Iain Brines for a professional foul on Steven Naismith before Kenny Miller scored the second goal in Rangers' 2-0 win. David Obua and Larry Kingston have also been hit by one-match bans after being booked and they will miss the game against Dundee United on  5 May. This is because the suspension start from 2 May.Jefferies said: "I thought Eggert's sending-off was a bit soft. Naismith was very clever and made it difficult for the referee but the one good thing about it is that he hasn't gone through any thresholds and only misses Saturday's game against Motherwell. Larry and David also picked up one game and that will be against Dundee United so everyone will be available for the game against Hibs at Easter Road. Suspensions at this time of the season are part and parcel of the game and others will now get a chance. We have some players coming back from injury and will have plenty of options in midfield." On the other hand, Hibs manager John Hughes is facing a selection crisis for the Easter Road derby on 1 May with Sol Bamba confirmed as missing the game as part of a three-match suspension. Hughes is awaiting news from the SFA over Ian Murray, Kevin McBride and Darren McCormack, who could all miss the visit of Hearts after being booked during their team's 3-2 defeat at Celtic Park on Saturday.
