Away record must improve - Jefferies

Jim Jefferies has demanded Hearts take their passion on the road as they look to improve their recent away record.[LNB] Hearts have lost five out of six games away from Tynecastle since Jefferies returned to the club.[LNB]Despite last weekend's 4-1 home defeat by Rangers, Jefferies has been happy with their form in Gorgie and he wants his team to show similar commitment when they face St Mirren in Paisley on Saturday.[LNB]"On outfield play it was never a 4-1 drubbing," Jefferies told Hearts TV.[LNB]"It was down to defensive errors and individual mistakes. On outfield play, there was a lot to be pleased about.[LNB]"This is not finished but there is improvement on how we see the players wanting to play. They are certainly getting the ball down and passing it.[LNB]"A lot of people have commented that there is a passion returning to the players that they didn't feel they had recently.[LNB]"We have never been able to pick the same side twice but there's no doubt the away record has to improve.[LNB]"We'll be asking questions if the passion we have shown in the last two games is any less."[LNB]The selection problems have not eased as Hearts will still be missing Calum Elliot, Dawid Kucharski, Michael Stewart, Jose Goncalves plus goalkeepers Janos Balogh and Marian Kello, while Ismael Bouzid is just short of making his comeback.[LNB]And both Andrew Driver and Jason Thomson are struggling to overcome knee problems.[LNB]"It's all about how Andrew Driver feels just before kick-off," Jefferies said.[LNB]"He is still got to be rated doubtful, Jason Thomson too."[LNB]Meanwhile, Jefferies has urged Hearts fans to buy into his vision for taking the club forward by snapping up season tickets, which went on sale today.[LNB]"The fans gave us a really warm welcome when we first arrived and they have shown great backing from day one," he said.[LNB]"It would be great if the supporters showed the same enthusiasm next season and buy their season tickets in big numbers.[LNB]"There are loads of great offers available and it would be great if we could get this place rocking again."
